Enniskillen to Greenock & Back Again

Enniskillen to Greenock & Back Again

William Scott was born on 15 February 1913 in Greenock, Scotland. His father, also William Scott, had moved to Greenock from Enniskillen and married a Scottish woman, Agnes Murray.

William Scott Senior decided to return to his hometown to establish his sign writing and decorating business. In 1924 the whole family relocated to Enniskillen. William Scott was eleven years old - the eldest boy of what was to become a family of eleven children.

The Scotts settled in number 4 (now number 2) Queen Street, above the father’s business. Life would not have been easy for the family.
